Constructed from 100% solid wood and fitted with a polyester blend canvas, the chair feels sturdy yet light enough to move between rooms. The single biggest reason to buy is its combination of a classic director's chair silhouette and a foldable design that removes the footrest for simpler transport and compact storage.

Key Features

Solid wood frame: The 100% solid wood construction delivers long-term durability and a reassuringly stable base for regular use.

Polyester blend canvas: The seat and back covers use a polyester blend that is comfortable to sit on and easy to wipe down when needed.

Foldable design: The chair folds flat for compact storage and the footrest can be removed to make transportation and stowing even easier.

Built-in armrests and footrests: Integrated arm and foot support improve sitting comfort during longer uses such as events or extended casual work sessions.

Counter-height seating: With a seat-height of about 24 in this chair fits well at counters or taller tables without feeling cramped.

Who It's For

The Casual Home Director's Chair suits homeowners, small businesses, event hosts, and schools who need an attractive, portable seating option that still feels like furniture rather than a temporary stool. Its classic styling and black frame with yellow canvas work well as occasional seating in living rooms, patios, studios, or as extra chairs for gatherings.

Those who need very wide seating or a heavy-duty commercial chair for constant daily use should look elsewhere; some customers noted the chair is on the narrow side for wider-bodied people. If you require adjustable height beyond the built-in counter-height or heavy upholstered padding, this lightweight director's chair may not meet those needs.

Pros & Cons

Pros

Well-made solid wood frame gives a durable, stable feel.

Foldable design and removable footrest make it easy to transport and store.

Polyester blend canvas seat and back are comfortable and visually appealing.

Cons

Seat width is relatively narrow, so wider users may find it constraining.

Not intended as a heavily padded, long-term office chair for full-day use.

Specifications

Brand

Casual Home

Material

100% solid wood frame; polyester blend canvas covers

Overall dimensions

23 in W x 19 in D x 39.5 in H

Seat height

Approx 24 in

Seat cover size

18.5 in W x 16 in D

Back cover size

20 in W x 6 in D

Our Verdict

The Casual Home Director's Chair is a smart pick for anyone needing a portable, stylish counter-height seat that folds away easily and feels solid thanks to its wood construction.
