22x28 Picture Frame Black Poster Frame - Gallery-Style, Sturdy

Our review of the LaVie Home 22x28 picture frame finds it best suited for anyone who wants a gallery-style display without a high price tag; the single biggest reason to buy is the solid, clean presentation it gives to posters or completed puzzles. The frame arrives packaged for protection and is easy to hang either vertically or horizontally, making it a practical choice for living rooms, game rooms, dorms, or offices where a bold black frame and quick installation matter.

Key Features

• Gallery-style molding: Thick black moldings provide a strong, framed look that makes posters and art read as intentional displays rather than casual put-ups.
• Durable construction: The MDF molding and sturdy backboard keep prints flat and secure, reducing sagging over time compared with flimsy paper mounts.
• Plexiglass front: The clear plexiglass offers a lightweight, safe alternative to glass and preserves image visibility while lowering breakage risk.
• Ready to hang: The frame includes hooks and small parts so it can be mounted in portrait or landscape orientation straight out of the box.
• Protective packaging: Proprietary packaging reduces transit damage to fragile items and the company offers after-sales support if issues occur.

Who It's For

This frame is ideal for hobbyists who finish 1000-piece puzzles and want a neat, museum-like presentation, as well as for people framing posters sized to fit 22x28 in openings. It also works for renters or households that prefer a lightweight plexiglass cover rather than glass for safety.

Shoppers who need archival-grade glazing or high scratch resistance should look elsewhere, since the plexiglass is lighter and can feel flimsy compared with thicker glazing options. Also, those seeking ornate or antique-style frames will want a different finish than the modern black moldings here.

Pros & Cons

Pros
