4 in Pillowtop Mattress Topper and Pad Combo - Dorm Comfort

In this review the Best Price Mattress 4 in Pillowtop Combo is judged on comfort, build, and value for someone who wants to revive an old mattress without replacing it. The set pairs a 2 in egg-crate foam topper with a 2 in plush fitted mattress pad to deliver both pressure relief and a softer sleeping surface. For shoppers seeking an inexpensive, machine washable solution that is certified for safety, this combo stands out for targeted support, breathability, and the convenience of a single fitted-sheet style pad that fits over topper plus mattress.

Key Features

• Combo design: The 2 in egg-crate foam topper plus 2 in plush pad work together to add cushioning and support without the need to replace the mattress.
• Egg-crate foam: Open-cell construction and sculpted peaks promote airflow and help relieve pressure points for a more comfortable night.
• Reversible firmness: Flip the egg-crate foam with peaks up for softer cushioning or peaks down for a firmer feel to suit personal preference.
• Fitted mattress pad: The machine washable, fitted-sheet style mattress pad adds plushness and stays snug over both topper and mattress for a neat look.
• Certified materials: OEKO-TEX certified fabric and CertiPUR-US certified foam provide assurance of safer materials and reduced off-gassing.

Who It's For

This combo is best for college students, apartment dwellers, and anyone on a budget who wants to refresh a full mattress quickly; the lightweight components are easy to handle and the fitted pad simplifies setup. It also suits sleepers who need targeted pressure relief or cooler sleeping from increased airflow in the foam.

Shoppers who need a very thick luxury topper or advanced motion-isolation for couples should look elsewhere; the combined 4 in thickness improves comfort but will not replicate a high-end mattress-in-a-box. Also, those sensitive to strong scents should note some customers reported a noticeable lavender aroma on arrival.

Pros & Cons

Pros

• Comfortable, cloud-like feel that many customers say improves sleep and eases back pain.
• Versatile reversible foam lets users choose softer or firmer support quickly.
• Machine washable fitted pad adds convenience and a plush top layer.
• Materials certified by OEKO-TEX and CertiPUR-US, offering cleaner sleep assurances.

Cons

• Some users report mixed impressions of softness versus firmness, so personal preference varies.
• A minority of customers mentioned durability issues like ripping, so it may not be ideal for heavy wear without a protector.
