Blackout Patio Curtains 100 x 96 in - Heavy Thermal Privacy Panel

In this review the focus is on a single extra-wide blackout panel that aims to solve light, privacy and insulation issues for large sliding or patio doors. The curtain ships as one oversized panel measuring 100 in by 96 in and stands out for its combination of thick triple-woven microfiber, certified eco credentials, and heavy-duty grommets that make installation across wide rods straightforward. If a reviewer needed a large, durable room divider or patio curtain that reduces sunlight and improves energy efficiency, this panel is the main reason to consider it.

Key Features

• Large single-panel size: The 100 in by 96 in dimensions make it suitable for extra-wide sliding doors or to act as a room divider without sewing panels together.
• Strong grommet top: Sixteen metal grommets with a 2.4 in rim and 1.6 in inner opening slide smoothly on basic or decorative rods for easy hanging and movement.
• High blackout and UV protection: Laboratory-backed construction blocks up to 99% of sunlight and prevents 100% of UV rays for improved privacy and fabric protection.
• Thermal insulating fabric: The triple-woven microfiber improves energy efficiency by helping to reduce heat transfer through large glass doors.
• Eco and safety certifications: Manufactured in OEKO-TEX Standard 100 facilities and meeting GLOBAL RECYCLED STANDARD criteria, the panel is vinyl and PVC free for a safer indoor environment.
• Easy care: Machine washable in cold water, tumble dry low and safe to iron on warm if needed to maintain a neat appearance.

Who It's For

This curtain is aimed at homeowners or renters with large patio or sliding doors who want a single-panel solution that covers extra width without seams. It is also a practical option for those looking to create a temporary bedroom, divide a loft or workspace, or darken a basement while improving thermal performance.

People needing absolute pitch-black darkness for photography or ideal blackout for light-sensitive sleepers may find mixed results, since user feedback shows strong room darkening but not always complete pitch-black conditions; those users should consider multiple layers or additional liners.

Pros & Cons

Pros

• Large format sold as a single panel removes the need to join multiple panels for wide openings.
• Material feels soft and thick, with several customers commenting positively on the fabric quality and appearance.
• Effective at blocking light and giving privacy while also providing thermal and noise-reducing benefits.

Cons

• Room darkening performance is strong but not always completely pitch-black for every room or installation.
• Only one panel is included per purchase, which may require additional panels for full coverage in some layouts.
