CALYX INTERIORS Faux Wood Blinds 2 in Slat Cordless - Room Darkening

Our review of the CALYX INTERIORS Faux Wood Blinds finds them to be a practical, safe, and attractive option for homeowners who want a durable, low-maintenance window treatment that still looks refined. The single biggest reason to buy is the combination of a cordless lift system and sturdy PVC construction, which delivers child-safe operation and slats that resist warping while providing strong light control and privacy. For anyone fitting an inside-mounted blind to an exact opening, these blinds offer consistent sizing and a clean, classic look.

Key Features

• Faux wood construction: Durable PVC slats resist warping and are easy to wipe clean, making them a low-maintenance choice for high-traffic rooms.
• 2 in slat with Classic Valance: The 2 in smooth slats and 2.5 in valance create a polished, concealed-headrail appearance that hides hardware for a neater window finish.
• Cordless lift and tilt: The cordless system and wand tilt offer simple, safe operation without dangling cords, reducing risk for children and pets.
• Inside or outside mount hardware included: The package includes all mounting pieces and instructions so installation is straightforward for most DIYers.
• Room darkening privacy: The slat width and tight closure provide strong privacy and substantial reduction of incoming light when fully closed.
• Exact sizing guidance: The blind is made to the ordered size with no factory deductions, so accurate inside mount measurements are critical for a proper fit.

Who It's For

This faux wood blind is best for homeowners or renters who want a classic white horizontal blind that looks clean and performs reliably in living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, or doors. It particularly suits families who need a child-safe cordless solution and anyone who prefers low-maintenance PVC over real wood in humid or high-traffic areas.

Those who need an adjustable, exact-fit inside mount should follow the measuring instructions carefully; customers who prefer motorized controls or soft fabric shades for total blackout should look elsewhere.

Pros & Cons

Pros

• Easy to install with included hardware and clear instructions, which several customers confirmed.
• Sturdy PVC construction and 2 in slats look high quality and stand up well to everyday wear.
• Cordless lift and wand tilt make operation simple and safer around children and pets.
• Clean white finish and valance provide a neat, built-in appearance that complements many decors.

Cons

• Because the blind is cut to the exact ordered size, precise inside-mount measurement is required and can be unforgiving if not measured correctly.
• Some users reported mixed experience with ease of opening, so very light or very heavy windows might need adjustment.
