SAFAVIEH Natura 6 ft x 9 ft Ivory & Blue Rug - Handmade Wool Fringe

In this review of the SAFAVIEH Natura 6 ft x 9 ft Ivory & Blue rug, the bottom line is simple: this is a versatile, hand-crafted wool rug best suited for living rooms, bedrooms, or casual spaces that need a soft underfoot feel and a laid-back, artisan look. The single biggest reason to buy is the combination of real wool texture and hand-woven detail that gives a higher-end appearance without a prohibitively high price. Customers who want a transitional rug that blends with contemporary, modern, traditional, or bohemian decor will find this rug particularly appealing.

Key Features

• Hand-woven construction: The hand loomed, artisan-crafted construction creates visible texture and braided motifs that add depth to casual or coastal interiors.
• Natural wool pile: Made from plush premium wool, it feels soft underfoot and provides natural resilience for medium to high traffic areas.
• Low profile thickness: The 0.5-in pile offers a sleek look while still delivering support and comfort without feeling bulky.
• Versatile style: A transitional Ivory and Blue palette works across contemporary, traditional, modern, and boho schemes for easy decorating choices.
• Durability for everyday use: Handcrafted wool and hand-loomed construction make this rug suited to living rooms, bedrooms, and other active spaces.
• Fringe detail: The handmade fringe adds a casual, beach-house character that softens room edges and enhances texture.

Who It's For

This rug is ideal for shoppers who want an authentic, textured wool rug that looks more expensive than its price. It works well for homeowners updating a living room or bedroom, parents furnishing a nursery, or renters who need a stylish, adaptable area rug that pairs with many decor styles. The soft natural wool is comfortable for bare feet and sits well under sofas and beds.

Shoppers who need a completely flat, commercial-grade mat or a stainproof synthetic option should look elsewhere. Also, anyone seeking a very plush, high-pile shag will find the 0.5-in pile intentionally low profile and better suited for neat, lived-in spaces rather than deep luxury underfoot.

Pros & Cons

Pros

• Attractive artisan texture and braided motifs give an elevated look at an accessible price.
• Soft, natural wool pile feels comfortable and is durable enough for everyday rooms.
• Neutral Ivory and Blue tones provide accurate color and versatile coordination in many decor styles.
• Hand-loomed construction and fringe details add character and handcrafted appeal.

Cons

• Some initial shedding or temporary creases may occur on arrival and need time to settle.
• Not a high-pile shag, so buyers wanting deep plushness should choose a different rug type.
