Velvet Curtain Panels Cyan Yellow 52x63 in (2 Panels) - Room Darkening

Our review of these velvet curtain panels focuses on homeowners and renters who want a simple way to add luxury style and practical light control to bedrooms or living rooms. The biggest reason to buy is the combination of a plush velvet face and a thermal insulated backing that noticeably reduces incoming light and drafts while giving a rich, slightly shimmering look. These ready-made panels arrive as a pair, each 52 in wide by 63 in long, and are aimed at anyone wanting an affordable, machine-washable option for improved privacy and energy smart insulation.

Key Features

• Material: 100% polyester velvet gives a soft, plush texture that elevates room decor while remaining durable for everyday use.
• Size and Pairing: Comes as two panels, each 52 in by 63 in, which covers standard windows or can be layered for fuller coverage.
• Hanging Options: Includes a rod pocket and clip rings with 3-in inner diameter so it fits most standard rods and can be hung two ways.
• Light Control: The blackout-style polyester layer blocks up to 75% of sunlight and reduces UV exposure, especially in darker colorways.
• Thermal Insulation: Thick, heavy fabric helps block heat and drafts to create a cozier room and support energy savings.
• Care: Machine washable on gentle cycle and tumble dry low, with low-heat ironing or steam recommended to remove wrinkles.

Who It's For

These panels are best for people who want a combination of style and function: those furnishing bedrooms, living rooms, or guest rooms where medium to strong light reduction and a luxurious look are desired. The soft velvet finish and slight shimmer suit traditional or modern interiors that need a tactile, decorative touch.

They are less suitable for someone who requires complete blackout for shift-work sleep or for extra-long windows, because the panels provide significant room darkening but not total blackout in lighter colors, and the 63 in length limits coverage for floor-to-ceiling installations.

Pros & Cons

Pros

• Plush velvet fabric provides a luxury appearance and soft hand that improves room aesthetics.
• Thermal insulated backing helps reduce drafts and supports energy savings in heating and cooling.
• Two hanging options (rod pocket and clip rings) make installation flexible for most standard rods.
• Machine washable care makes them practical for regular home use.

Cons

• Darker colors have better light blocking than lighter shades, so color choice affects performance.
• At 63 in length these are not long enough for floor-length installations in high ceilings.
